ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR 1 YEAR MBA PROGRAM

1.Academic Performance at the Undergraduate Level

Applicants for the Graduate program are required to successfully complete an accredited undergraduate degree from a university licensed  by the Ministry of Education UAE with a CGPA of 3.0 and above on a 4.0 scale or its established equivalents.

Applicants  with a CGPA of 2.5 but less than 3 (on a 4.0 scale or its established equivalent) is considered for conditional admission based on successful interview to be conducted by an academic panel. A conditionally admitted student are allowed to study only 9 credits hours of courses during the  first semester and achieve a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

If the undergraduate degree is from a University other than a l University licensed by the Ministry of Education, UAE, or from a University located outside United Arab Emirates , applicants are required to obtain an Equivalency Certificate for the undergraduate degree from the Ministry of Education, UAE.

2. Proficiency in English

Applicants whose native language is not English are required to provide a certificate of English proficiency test with minimum score as below:

3. Work experience

Students applying for 1-Year MBA Program must possess a minimum of two years of work experience.

4. Personal Assessment Interview

All eligible candidates are required to attend an Assessment Interview by an Academic Panel. The admission of all eligible applicants including applicants who are to be admitted conditionally is decided by the Academic Panel

HOW TO APPLY

We are pleased that you are considering to join the graduate program at IMT Dubai, and we look forward to guiding you through the application and admissions process. The application process is simple and is outlined below.

You are required to e-mail all your supporting documents to admissions@imt.ac.ae Please note that any missing documents may delay your application process.

Step 3

Shortlisted applications will need to go through the evaluation process in person which involves a personal Interview.

  • Academic documents (high school and university transcripts/certificate).
  • Admissions essay reflecting the motivations for applying to IMT Dubai with a minimum of 300 words.
  • Proof of English language proficiency
  • Resume / Curriculum Vitae
  • Proof of Employment Letter
  • Passport size photographs (4)
  • A copy of Emirates ID (If resident in the UAE)
  • A scanned copy of the picture page of your passport (and Residence Visa for UAE residents). • Equivalency Certificate, if applicable.
  • If you are seeking advance academic standing in your chosen program: certified copies of official academic transcripts, and syllabus details from a recognized university in the MOHESR, UAE.

All applicants for admission at IMT Dubai are required to obtain an Equivalency Certificate of their bachelor degree from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE. The attestation process is dependent upon whether you completed your degree in the UAE or abroad.

Applicants who completed their bachelor degree outside the UAE

In these circumstances, the student will be provisionally admitted to IMT Dubai and permitted to commence the first semester of study. However, the student must have their bachelor’s degree and transcripts/mark sheets certified by:

  • The issuing University and/or recognized authority for tertiary education in the host country in which you completed your education.
  • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the host country
  • The UAE Embassy in that host country
  • The Embassy of the host country in UAE must attest the authenticity of the documents and attestations. Additionally, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE must issue an Equivalency Certificate. Applicants must have a valid UAE residence visa when applying for an Equivalency Certificate. Failure to provide any conditions of your admission will result in suspension from the program.
