The Board of Governors (BoG) plays a critical role in the strategic development of the IMT Dubai. It has ultimate responsibility for defining the institution’s mission, educational character, and future direction, and for overseeing the progress of the strategic plan.

The BoG is constituted in accordance with Stipulation 1 “Governance and Management” of the Standards 2019 issued by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), Ministry of Education, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and By-laws of the Governing Body formulated by the IMT Dubai in consonance thereto. The BOG is accountable for institutional development and progress and takes all policy decisions to enable it to assure itself, and other stakeholders, that appropriate academic standards and quality of provision for students are being maintained.

The primary responsibilities of the Board can be found in the By-Laws of the Board of Governors.

As Chief Executive of the IMT Dubai, the Director is an ex-officio member of the BoG and is responsible for managing day to day functioning of the institution and for advising the Board on its strategic direction. The other members of the Board include individuals with backgrounds in business, commerce, and education. They are appointed on the basis of their understanding of and commitment to the vision, mission, and values of the IMT Dubai, enthusiasm about its development, the quality of their contributions to institutional governance, and the independent and constructive advice that they can offer.

See Action Plan adopted by the BoG for the Academic Year 2022-23.
