WE SUPPORT THE UN GLOBAL COMPACT

The Institute of Management Technology, Dubai is committed to the UN Global Compact and upholding its ten principles covering human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. We strive to implement these principles in our strategies and operative work. It is imperative that these principles become embedded in the way we conduct our business and thus our corporate culture.

About UN Global Compact The UN Global Compact is a voluntary initiative based on CEO commitments to implement universal sustainability principles and to take steps to support UN goals. Its initiative is a call to companies to align strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and take actions that advance societal goals.

The primary IMT Dubai support for United Nations Global Compact principles is our progress in the alignment of current institutional strategies and operations. Some of the ongoing initiatives at IMT Dubai: the revision and implementation of a more sustainable waste management program, installation of solar panels via shared economy business model, solar-powered automobile recharging facilities. One of the strategic initiative, for example, is IMT Dubai recruitment process, emphasizing the need for faculty with the focus on responsibility and sustainability in research and teaching. Moreover, IMT Dubai students and faculty support UNGC principles through diverse activities and projects of our students’ club, Sustainability Development Committee (SDC). SDC’s main goal is to help IMT Dubai in its commitment towards the realization of the principles of UN Global Compact. Numerous projects, social and environmental, were accomplished since August, 2017 (for example, food awareness campaign, yoga session, industry guest lecture on sustainability).
