The cultural committee will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and executing the extracurricular related activities for all IMT student, as follows, but not limited to: –

  • Dance
  • Drama,
  • Craft & Painting,
  • Trips & Excursions,
  • Theme Shows,
  • Music-Vocal, Instrumental,
  • Creative Writing
  • Cultural Festivals
  • Vaudeville

Sports & Wellness Committee

Responsibilities

The Sports com will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and executing sport related competitions and events in the following areas, but not limited to: –

  • Outdoor and Indoor sports activities
  • IMT Sports Festival
  • participating in external Sports events
  • coordinating with Facilities Management about timing of usage of sports facilities

Media & PR Committee

Membership

Responsibilities

The Media Committee will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and executing activities in the following areas, but not limited to: –

  • All communications to IMT-DCP & Dubai students
  • Preparing e-newsletter and confirming circulation among students
  • Inviting, editing, and submitting articles for publications
  • Taking care of copyright issues
  • Handle all designing of invitations
  • Designing of posters
  • Helping in technical aspects during any events
  • Designing Advertisements and handling audio-visual system as and when required
  • Photo and Video Coverage of various events in IMT
  • Monthly magazine with events at IMT-D, articles, news, management

All publicity & PR material require prior approval from Assistant Manager Corporate Relations

Entrepreneurship Operations & Sustainability Committee

Membership

Responsibilities

The committee will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and executing activities in the following areas, but not limited to: –

  • Events related to innovations and entrepreneurship
  • Finalizing menu along with the Caterer
  • Monitoring food quality at the Mess
  • Channelize feedback on food quality to Management
  • Communicate the menu to the students and factor in their feedback
  • Operations related to events
  • Community services and engagement related events

Career Services Committee

Membership

  • Update Alumni Contacts Database
  • Increase interaction with Alumni
  • Alumni Events
  • Alumni Newsletter
  • Coordinate with Alumnus and leverage their contact to get short term projects, Field Trips and Guest Lectures.
  • Liaison between OCS and Students on Internships and Placements
  • Explore internship and placement opportunities in the market
  • Identify workshops required to enhance student career prospects
  • Work in close coordination with the Alumni Committee

Academic Committee

  • Coordinate and liaise agenda between student’s program office and Program chair for matters related to academic program, schedule exams and attendance.
  • Feedback and inputs from students
  • Committee members will also act as class representatives.

Toastmasters & Orators Committee

  • Presentation skills
  • Toastmasters events

TedX Committee

IMT Committees Appointment and Monitoring

  1. Students must apply to represent the committee using Committee Application Form
  2. Students may apply to represent more than one Committee (i.e. maximum 2 committees) but if selected can hold membership of only one committee.
  3. OSS and Staff-in charge will review applications and along with a Faculty member interview candidates and nominate them.
  4. Committee will meet at least once a week.
  5. Minutes of meeting and Activities report must be maintained by Committee Secretary
  6. Committee Treasurer will be in charge of Accounts. No expenditure must be incurred without the written approval of the Staff Representative of that Committee.
  7. The Faculty/Staff Representative for each committee will monitor the performance of each committee and recommend dismissal of any non-performing member to the faculty panel whose decision will be final.
